The History of Job Finders

The Job Finders brand was established in 1995 by owner and Managing Director, Debbie Lock, with strong principles and aims:

• To build long-term relationships with clients and candidates alike by providing a friendly, honest and professional recruitment service;
• To offer clients value for money by matching the right candidate to their job vacancy first time, or receive a free replacement guarantee for up to and including the first 6 months of their employment;
• To support candidates throughout the recruitment process: conducting face-to-face registration interviews; taking time to understand ability and ambitions; matching only to suitable, legitimate job vacancies;

We never forget that people are at the heart of every successful placement.

Job Finders' Scope

Based in offices adjacent to Bromley South Station, Job Finders serves London and the Home Counties, with particular emphasis on recruitment for Kent and Surrey.  

We are a general recruitment practice and our Consultants have a wealth of experience in many industry sectors; however, the majority of our roles fall into the following areas:

Meet The Recruitment Consultants

Debbie Lock – Managing Director

A graduate member of the IPD, Debbie had a successful career in corporate HR before moving into recruitment consultancy.  She launched Job Finders in 1995 and still works within the business and is still very hands on with an enviable portfolio of prestigious clients.

Debbie’s great strength is her ability to identify the needs of both client and candidates.   With a career history spanning manufacturing and service industries, she has extensive knowledge of a broad spectrum of working environments and professional disciplines.  

And another thing:
Debbie is an active member of the local business community and a committed fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care, completing her first London Marathon in 2011 raising a staggering £10,000 so far. In 2012, Debbie will be taking part in a 350km bike ride through rural India starting at the Taj Mahal, to raise money for Women-v-Cancer, in particular Breast Cancer care.

We will be holding a number of events throughout 2012 to raise money for this worthy charity. More information can be found on her blog.

Rebecca Cooper – Head of Resourcing

Rebecca is passionate about finding people a job that’s right for them. With many years of experience in the recruitment industry, Rebecca understands the importance of knowing your clients, knowing your candidate’s and fully understanding their needs in order to match them to the right job.

“As Head of Resourcing, I am often the first point of contact for many of our candidates. Looking for a new job can be a daunting and stressful time, so I aim to make the whole process run as smoothly as possible by understanding the candidate’s needs and matching them to the right Company. I get a real buzz when a candidate that I have sourced is successfully placed in a job vacancy.”

And another thing:
Keen dancer Rebecca once auditioned for the Royal Ballet, narrowly missing out on a place!

Charlotte Dunkerton – Senior Recruitment Consultant

Having worked in the recruitment industry for over 8 years Charlotte believes that understanding both the client and candidates needs are essential in making the perfect match. Charlotte meets with all her clients face to face to get a full brief and knowledge of not only the duties of the job role but the culture and the type of person that would fit in with the rest of the team. The same goes for the candidates in terms of skill sets, likes, dislikes and personalities.

“Understanding the client and the candidates needs is vital before the matching process takes place. There is nothing more rewarding than successfully placing candidates in their dream job!”

And another thing:
Charlotte raised in excess of £1,000 abseiling down the side of the Hilton Hotel. She is our resident thrill seeker!

Keren Medhurst – Financial Controller

Keren has many years experience of managing Company’s finances, and does a sterling job at Job Finders.

And another thing:
Keren is a fanatical hula-hooper and our resident beauty adviser for on hand beauty tips!

Charity

Job Finders’ nominated charity in 2012 will be Women-v-Cancer - and 2012 is the year of Managing Director Debbie’s “India Cycle Campaign”.
